Description

This sundial, located approximately 30 yards south of Middleton Hall, dates from around 1703 and features a gnomon made by Martin of London. The pedestal is likely a later addition and is made of sandstone, topped with a vase-shaped design that has a cyma-moulded top. The pedestal includes both incised and low-relief decorative elements. The gnomon is made of bronze.
