Description
The gateway, bridge, and wall attached to the north-west of Callaly Castle were built in the late 19th century and constructed from ashlar stone. The interior of the wall is lined with brick.
The structure features tall, rusticated gatepiers topped with ball finials. There is a stretch of corniced concave wall with similar piers flanking a bridge that has a single segmental arch. This arch includes a parapet with ridged coping and two square piers with pyramidal caps.
Following the bridge, there is approximately 20 yards of similar walling that connects to a walled garden.
