Description

This milepost, located 450 metres north of the lane to South Acton, dates from the mid-19th century. It is made of cast iron and is painted white, although it was previously green. The milepost has a triangular shape with an open back and features raised lettering indicating the distances: 11 miles to Morpeth and 8 miles to Alnwick. It stands 0.60 metres tall.
