Description

The ice house, located approximately 40 yards north of Belford Hall, is a Grade II listed structure, likely built around 1818 by John Dobson. It is constructed of ashlar and appears as a tall grassy mound with a sandstone trap door visible on the surface. Inside, there are two parallel, rectangular, tunnel-vaulted chambers, which are connected to the main house by a vaulted tunnel that is 40 yards long.
