Description
This boundary stone, likely from the 18th century, is located 90 metres north of the road and 700 metres north-east of East Bolton. It is made of sandstone and has a rectangular flat top. The east face features the incised letter "S," while the west face has the letter "E," with a second letter that seems to have been intentionally removed. The stone stands 0.45 metres tall and marks the boundary between the parishes of Hedgeley and Eglingham.
