Description
The stable block, built around 1855, is located approximately 30 yards north of Burradon Hall. It is constructed from ashlar stone and features a Welsh slate roof. The building is single-storey with 1½-storey wings.
The center section has four bays and is flanked by two projecting cross-gabled wings, each with two bays. The third bay contains double sliding doors that lead to a carriage house, which is now used as a garage. In the fifth bay, there is a two-leaf Victorian panelled door. The stable block also has six-pane sash windows, and all openings are framed with raised alternating-block surrounds.
The gables of the wings feature small pointed-arched windows with Y-tracery. The gables are adorned with kneelers, flat coping, and ball finials. The guttering on the returns is supported by moulded stone brackets.
