Description
These former farmbuildings form ranges to the north and east of Lookout Farmhouse, dating from the early 19th century. They are constructed of coursed rubble with tooled-and-margined dressings, and have pantile roofs.
The east range, which comprises stables, is attached to the rear wing of Lookout Farmhouse. It is divided into two parts, each of two bays, and steps downhill. It features stable doors and part-slatted windows, all set within chamfered alternating-block surrounds. Slit vents are located to the rear.
The north range consists of shelter sheds, with two wide bays. Each bay has a broad opening supported by a timber lintel and a central stop-chamfered wooden post and pad. Boarded doors are present to the rear.
A two-storey west range exists, which has been significantly altered. A pent-roofed extension to the rear of the north range and a brick addition to the rear of the east range do not contribute to the building’s special interest.
The farmbuildings are included for their group value with Lookout Farmhouse.
