Description
Netherwitton Mill is a woollen mill built in 1794. It is constructed from coursed stone with dressings and has a slate roof. The building has three storeys and consists of 11 bays. The central three-bay section projects and features a blocked central doorway with a triple keystone. It has 16-pane sash windows, many of which are now empty, with one located in the door opening. The gable is pedimented and includes a large stone clock face, while a large block behind may serve as the base for a bellcote. The flanking sections have similar window arrangements, except for an elliptical-arched cart entrance located in the ninth bay. The gables are coped with kneelers, and there is a reduced stack at the right end. To the right, there is a single-storey link set slightly back, which has a boarded door and a small elliptical-arched cart entrance leading to Netherwitton Farmhouse. The left return features double doors, loading doors for the first and second floors, and a 16-pane sash window in the gable. The rear elevation mirrors the front.
