Description

This is a mid-18th century house, now used as an outbuilding, with an attached 19th-century barn that functions as a garage. The building is constructed of rubble with cut stone quoins and a door surround, and has stone slate roofs. The original stack is on the left gable. The house section is two storeys high and has two bays. The front door features an applied design of panels with pointed heads set in a chamfered surround with large dressings. A 16-pane sash window is positioned to the left, with a fixed 12-pane window above, both within a moulded box frame. Inside, original transverse ceiling beams are visible, along with two roof trusses featuring notched and pegged collars. The barn to the right has a cart entrance with a timber lintel and two slit vents above. The building is included on the listing for its group value.
