Description
This building is an apple store located approximately 60 yards west of Pallinsburn. It is a house that has been modified, with its gable end designed as a garden pavilion. Originally built in the early 18th century, it was remodeled in the late 18th or early 19th century. The structure is made of brick in English Garden Wall Bond and features a Welsh slate roof with ashlar dressings on the right return.
The building has three storeys and three bays. On the left side, there is a 19th-century door and porch. The ground floor has sash windows, although the intermediate glazing bars have been removed. The first floor features 12-pane sashes, while the second floor has small square blank windows, all adorned with flat brick arches. A brick string course runs along the first floor. The roof is gabled with flat stone coping.
On the right return, there is a blank Venetian window and a pedimented gable that includes a round window in a moulded surround, which was added in the late 18th century. The brickwork on this side is in Flemish bond.
