Description
West Lodge is a lodge built around 1840, constructed from ashlar stone with a plinth and featuring cast iron elements. It has a Welsh slate roof and is a single-storey building with three bays. The entrance includes a 20th-century door with a trellised overlight set in a chamfered surround. The windows are 12-pane sashes also in chamfered surrounds. The projecting eaves are supported by four Doric columns, each made of eight iron bars. The roof is hipped with swept eaves, stone ridge pieces, and a renewed brick ridge stack. The returns of the building display similar architectural details. A 20th-century addition at the rear is not considered of special interest.
