Description
Low Hedgeley Farmhouse is a house from the mid-18th century that was altered and extended in the second half of the 19th century. It is constructed of squared stone and has a Welsh slate roof. The south elevation features two storeys with one bay on the left and three bays on the right. The older right section has a central doorway within a 20th-century porch, flanked by 19th-century canted bay windows that have plain sashes and ribbed lead tops, with 4-pane sashes above. The gables are coped, and there are stepped end stacks, with the upper part of the right stack rendered. The left bay has paired plain sashes on the ground floor, a 4-pane sash above, and a coped left gable with a stepped and corniced end stack. The rear left wing connects to the main group of farm buildings. The farmhouse is included for its group value.
