Description

The monuments to the Bewick family are located approximately 30 yards south of the Church of St. Mary. These two memorials, made of ashlar, commemorate members of Thomas Bewick's family and date from 1813 to 1886. The left tablet features a shallow ogival top, while the right tablet has a more elaborate moulded top. These monuments are included mainly for their historical value.
