Description
Elwick Windmill is a mid-19th century windmill constructed of brick and stands six storeys tall. It features a tapered circular tower with a string course at the fourth floor, along with segmental-headed windows and a doorway. While the fantail, cap-roof, and lower timber floors are missing, some machinery remains largely intact, including three sets of stones, and one arm of the sails is still present. At the time of the survey, the windmill was disused and in a dilapidated condition.
