HARTLEPOOL STRANTON NZ 5032 (west side) ) 10/115 Lion sculpture and pier, 15m to east of Lion Brewery.

Sculpture of lion statant, c.1852, of painted stone; on mid C20 brick pier. Probably the only surviving remains of the original Lion Brewery of W. Waldon. Other, similar but later sculptures to the north and south, are not of interest.
