Description
Carmel House is an early 19th-century house located to the northeast of Carmel House Convent. It is two storeys tall and features three windows. The building is constructed of pinkish brick and has a low-pitched slated roof. The recessed sash windows have glazing bars and are set under flat gauged brick arches.
To the south, there is a long one-storey link building made of similar brick, which has a roof of graduated Lakeland slate. This link building connects to a small chapel from the mid-19th century, which is built of coursed freestone in a simple Early English style and also has a roof of graduated Lakeland slates. The interior of the chapel is plain and follows the Early English style.
