Description
Hillclose Farm House is a building that appears to date from the 17th century, although it has undergone alterations. It is L-shaped, with two storeys and an attic on the south front. The walls are constructed partly of rubble stone and partly of brick. A massive projecting stone chimney is located on the north front. Most of the windows are 18th century sashes, but there is also one two-light stone-mullioned window with a hoodmould that remains. The high-pitched roofs are covered with pantiles and feature stone coped gable ends with kneelers. There is a later gabled porch on the east side.
