Description
The stable yard archway, now part of a classroom range, was built around 1750 by Robert Shout for George Baker. It features a brick wall with sandstone ashlar elements and stands approximately 5 metres high. The structure is supported by corniced rusticated ashlar piers that hold high pilasters and a moulded arch. A top cornice continues over the pilasters and includes a stepped key.
