Description
A house and byre, dating from 1832 and attributed to Anthony Todd. The building is constructed of coursed squared sandstone with ashlar dressings, and has a stone-flagged roof with a stone ridge. It comprises a two-storey, two-bay house and a single-storey, six-bay byre attached.
The house has a half-glazed door with a two-pane overlight, set in a plain stone surround and bearing a dated lintel on the right side. To the left are four-pane sash windows with projecting stone sills, all with flat stone lintels. Chimneys are located at each end of the roof. The byre features Dutch doors under flat stone lintels in the second and fourth bays, flanked by small square windows with similar lintels. A hay store to the right, with a corrugated-iron roof, is not considered to be of architectural interest. The building's architectural significance is recognised as group value.
