Description

This pigsty, located 15 metres north of Alwent Hall, dates from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of dressed sandstone with quoins and some brick infill, topped by a pantiled roof. The building has two low storeys and is divided into three bays. An external stone staircase leads to a first-floor door in the left bay, while the right side features two openings, each with a low-walled yard. The first floor contains a boarded door in the left bay and two openings with projecting sills to the right. This structure is included for its group value with Alwent Hall.
