Description

The garden wall located 20 metres south-west of Gainford Hall is likely from the 17th century. It is constructed of sandstone rubble and features a massive, flat coping. The wall is approximately 0.7 metres thick and stands between 1.5 to 2.0 metres high. It extends west for about 80 metres before turning north-west for approximately 50 metres. This structure is included for its group value with Gainford Hall.
