Description

No. 12, Hall Street is a house, likely originally associated with the adjacent Congregational church. It was probably built around 1836. The house is constructed of coursed squared stone with ashlar quoins and dressings, and has a rubble gable on the right return. It has a Welsh slate roof with stone gable copings and a stone chimney. The house is three storeys high, with a single-window front. A tooled projecting stone surround frames a late 20th-century six-panel door with glazed upper panels imitating a fanlight. Sixteen-pane sashes are set within projecting stone sills, and have flat stone lintels. The roof features a chimney at the right end, with a decorative band near the top. The interior has not been inspected.
