Description

The east byre range at Hunstanworth Farm dates from around 1863 and is likely designed by Teulon for Rev. Daniel Capper. This single-storey building faces a courtyard and is constructed from coursed squared sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings, topped by a Welsh slate roof. It features five bays. In the second bay, there is a boarded door beneath a thin wood lintel, flanked by small windows with flat stone lintels and sills. The three bays to the right contain boarded Dutch doors, each under flat stone lintels. The lower left end bay has a small square window and an owl-hole to the left with a stone shelf. Additionally, there is a stone drain to the left of the first Dutch door.
