Description
The structure consists of piers and a railed screen located 500 metres southwest of Rokeby Park. The piers date back to 1725, with one of them formerly dated, and originally served as gatepiers for the east entrance of the park. They were re-set with a railed screen in the early 19th century. The piers are made of ashlar and feature cast iron elements. There are two tall rectangular piers that have a plinth, rusticated quoins, a Greek key frieze, swags, and pedimented tops. These piers are connected by a curved 40-metre dwarf wall that has arched coping and is topped with spearhead railings.
