Description

Numbers 66 and 68 with linking wall are two houses built around 1840. Number 66 is rendered, while Number 68 is constructed of English garden wall bond brick with painted ashlar dressings, and both have Welsh slate roofs. Each house is two storeys high with two bays. Number 66 has a four-panel door with an overlight to the right, a wooden surround, and a hood above the door. Number 68 has a four-panel door with an overlight, with flat stone arches above the door and windows. Number 66 features a tripartite window to the left of the door; its first-floor windows are 12-pane sashes with wedge stone lintels and projecting stone sills. Number 68 has replaced sashes of a late 19th-century style with projecting stone sills. Both houses have brick chimneys at each end. The linking wall is brick-coped and incorporates a hoarded door within a cambered brick arch. Number 68 is included in the listing due to its group value.
