Description
The gin-gang and barn, located north of Scotch Isle Farmhouse, date from the early 19th century. They are constructed from sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings. The gin-gang features a Welsh slate roof, while the barn has a stone-flagged roof. The barn is two stories high with two bays, and it has a one-storey round gin-gang attached to its west side. The west elevation of the gin-gang has a central narrow boarded door with small square windows on either side, all under thin stone lintels. The gin-gang is topped with a high conical roof that has a spear finial, while the barn has a low-pitched roof.
