Description

The terrace wall located south of Bow Lane and east of Kingsgate is a Grade I listed structure, likely part of the Kingsgate postern of the Castle defences. It is constructed of coursed squared sandstone and features a brick parapet with ashlar dressings. The wall serves as a stone retaining wall, which has a chamfered set-back, and is topped with a scalloped brick parapet that has a flat stone coping.
