Description
No. 70 Hallgarth Street is a house built in the late 18th century. It features painted incised stucco with a rendered plinth and painted ashlar dressings, topped by a Welsh slate roof with brick chimneys. The building stands two storeys high and has three bays. Above the door, there is an overlight consisting of three over three panels within a doorcase that has a carved bracketed hood positioned to the right of the first bay. The passage door at the right end includes a two-pane overlight. The late 19th-century sash windows have projecting stone sills. The steeply-pitched roof is supported by stone gutter brackets, and there are banded brick chimneys located at the left end and to the right of the second bay.
