Description
No. 59 Hallgarth Street is an early 19th-century house located in Durham. It features painted stucco with a plinth and painted ashlar dressings, topped by a Welsh slate roof with brick chimneys. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door with an overlight, set within a panelled architrave that has a cornice. On either side of the entrance are late 19th-century sash windows in canted two-storey bays, which have painted ashlar sills and top cornices. The low-pitched roof is finished with corniced end chimneys.
