Description
The terrace wall to the east and south of Windlestone Hall was built in the late 19th century for William Eden. It is made of brick with a rendered finish and features ashlar coping, piers, and steps. The long wall supports the terrace on two sides of the house, which faces the landscape, and includes flights of nosed steps. Low square piers interrupt the wall at both ends and flank the steps, topped with low ashlar piers that have large ball finials. This structure is included for its group value with Windlestone Hall.
