Description

Two bastions and a terrace wall, dating from the early to mid-19th century, are located 25 metres west of Brancepeth Castle. Constructed from dressed sandstone with tooled ashlar coping, the structure features two semicircular bastions at the north and south ends of a 35-metre long terrace wall, which is built into a steep valley side as a garden feature. The bastions have slightly projecting parapets with chamfered coping. There is a short flight of steps at the north end. This structure is included for its group value.
