Description
This stable, located to the north of a former chapel, dates from the mid-18th century and has undergone some alterations. It is constructed of coursed rubble with some later infill of dressed limestone and features a concrete ridged-tiled roof. The stable is two stories high and has three bays, attached to the north of the chapel near the west side of the farmhouse. It has flush, roughly-dressed quoins and mostly altered openings. The east side includes a central doorway with large, alternating jambs and two square windows with chamfered stone surrounds. Both the north return and the west side each have two similar openings. The steeply-pitched roof, which is hipped over the north return, has 19th-century shaped diagonal kneelers. The stable is included for its group value with the chapel. A 20th-century lean-to addition on the east side is not considered of special interest.
