Description
This building is a link section and stable/byre attached to Trees Farmhouse, dating from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of squared rubble with stone-flagged roofs. The link section is two stories high and consists of one bay, connected to the left side of the farmhouse. The stable/byre is also two stories and has three bays, positioned at right angles to the link section.
The link section features a segmental archway with flush tooled-and-margined voussoirs, and above it is a boarded opening with a flush lintel. It has a low-pitched roof.
The stable/byre has flush quoins and a small central opening flanked by Dutch doors, all within flush tooled-and-margined surrounds. Above these doors is a central four-pane sash window, with a breather to the left and a smaller four-pane sash to the right. The gable end includes three pigeon holes and a stone alighting ledge.
This building is included for its group value with the farmhouse.
