Description
Swinhopehead House is an inn that has been converted into a private house, built in 1815 according to information from the owner. The building is constructed of coursed sandstone rubble, mostly rendered, with a stone-flagged roof. It has two storeys and features three bays, along with 1½-storey pent end extensions.
On the ground floor, there are stables that include a central segmental entrance for ponies, three small windows—two of which are part-slatted—and one sash window with glazing bars. The upper floor has three sash windows, with the outer ones having 16 panes each. The house also features end chimneys, boarded doors, and small windows in the outshots.
