Description

This is a barn located 200 metres north of Bridge House Farmhouse, dating from the mid to late 19th century. It is constructed from limewashed coursed rubble with quoins and ashlar dressings, topped with a roof of graduated stone flags and a stone ridge. The barn is single-storey and consists of three bays. It features a high central cart entrance with segmental heads, flanked by openings that have sloping stone-flagged sills. There is a cast iron eaves gutter supported by iron brackets. The rear elevation has two high square openings that correspond to the front openings, and round ventilation pipes are present in the return gables.
