Description
This building, known as No. 19½, is a house that was originally the rear wing of No. 19. It dates from the late 18th century and has undergone some alterations. The structure is made of mottled light-red brick arranged in English garden wall bond, with an incised stucco basement and a roughcast bowed projection. It features a Welsh slate roof and a brick chimney. The house is two storeys tall with a basement and has two irregular bays.
The left semi-basement projection includes a modern glazed door and window, while the lower right basement projection has 19th-century sash windows. Above this, the bowed projection contains three sash windows with glazing bars, all set beneath a semicircular hipped roof. There are various other sash and casement windows, including a pair with glazing bars located at the top left. The left end has a chimney and tumbled-in brickwork at the gable end.
This building is included for its group value.
