Description

The limekiln on the north side of Hise Hope Burn is a structure likely dating from the late 18th century. It is built from coursed sandstone rubble and features a round kiln that stands about 4 meters high. The kiln has three corbelled arches, with the central arch being partly blocked and the right recess being partly filled.
