Description

No. 4 Owengate is a house built in the late 18th century. It is constructed of English garden wall bond brick, featuring a pattern of three and one, with painted ashlar dressings. The house has three storeys and two bays. There is an internal step leading up to a four-panelled door on the right, which is set under a flat brick arch. The windows are also topped with similar arches and have projecting stone sills, with sashes that include glazing bars. A chimney at the left end has been raised in new brick. Additionally, there is a square gas lamp attached to the building on an iron bracket.
