Description
The coach-house, located 30 metres north of Stubb House, dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed of sandstone ashlar and has Welsh slate roofs. The building is two storeys high with a three-bay central block flanked by single-storey, two-bay wings. The openings feature raised surrounds. The central block has a low plinth, with central 20th-century double doors set under an elliptical coach arch, and flanking 12-pane sash windows. There is a band between the storeys, and the first floor has three part-glazed hit-and-miss windows. The roof is low-pitched and hipped. The wings have 20th-century boarded doors with four-pane overlights and 12-pane sash windows at the ends. Additions to the left and rear of the building are not of special interest.
