Description
Ovington House is a house dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of rubble that is rendered and pebble-dashed, featuring cut dressings. The roof is made of graduated stone slate and has 20th-century brick end stacks. The building is two storeys high and has three symmetrical bays, with a plinth at the base. The central entrance features a part-glazed fielded-panel door. The ground-floor windows are sashes that have lost their glazing bars, while the first floor has 20th-century casements flanking a narrower plain sash. All openings are framed by raised stone surrounds. The rear elevation includes a stone-surround doorway and a 16-pane sash window for the staircase.
