Description

Burtree Ford House and the adjoining barn date from around 1700 and the early 19th century. They are constructed from coursed sandstone rubble, featuring quoins at the right corner of the house and a stone-flagged roof. The house is two storeys high with three bays, the right bay being very wide. It has a glazed 20th-century door and early 20th-century sash windows in their original openings, complete with flush lintels and sills. There are large end chimneys. The barn, located to the right, is two and a half storeys tall with two bays. Its ground floor is blank, while the first floor has a central loading door flanked by boarded openings and small upper windows. A 20th-century gabled front porch added to the house is not of interest.
