Description
This is a pump located approximately 15 metres south-east of Friar's Cote Farmhouse, likely dating from the early 19th century. It features a wooden casing with a lead spout and an iron handle. The casing is tall and has a carved handle on the right side, along with a moulded square panel at the front that surrounds the moulded spout. Above the spout are Roman capitals "C R," and below it are the letters "B C," which likely refer to Barnard Castle.
