Description
The building adjoining the southwest corner of Elemore Grange Barn is possibly a timber factory, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of dressed sandstone with chamfered ashlar quoins and features a moderately-pitched Welsh slate roof. The structure is two storeys high with four irregularly spaced bays. The right bay includes a first-floor hoist. All openings have square lintels and projecting sills. The one-bay left return has a 20th-century vehicle entrance and a pigeon cote above, which features two horizontal rows of openings and continuous alighting bands. Inside, the building has been altered for later agricultural use. The ground floor contains several small rooms connected by a corridor, while the upper floor consists of a single large room that is partitioned at the south end by a stone cross-wall, with a two-storey hall beyond.
