Description
This barn, located to the west of Selaby Home Farmhouse, dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century, with an early 19th-century addition on the right. It is constructed of limewashed hammer-dressed sandstone and features a sandstone flag roof, forming an L-plan layout.
The left section is two stories high and consists of one by three bays. It has a row of three breathers and a blocked quatrefoil pitching eye above, both with chamfered reveals. The hipped roof has slightly projecting eaves.
The right section is a single story with three bays, featuring a 20th-century vehicle entrance and flanking four-pane casements.
There are single-storey outbuildings attached to the left, but these are not of special interest. The barn is included for its group value with the farmhouse.
