Description
The Royal Corinthian Yacht Club, designed by Joseph Emberton in 1930, is a notable building located on Belvedere Road. It features a steel framed structure that rises three stories above a reinforced concrete platform supported by piles from the river bed. The walls are constructed of panel walls made of brick and cement render, and the south front facing the river is characterized by continuous glazing with steel casements. At the east end of the building, there is a slightly raised staircase tower. The south front also includes cantilevered balconies with iron railings, as well as an external spiral iron staircase.
