Description

This is an 18th-century timber-framed house, with parts weatherboarded and plastered, prominently displaying the date 1738. It is two storeys high with a symmetrical two-window front. The windows are double-hung sashes with vertical glazing bars. The central doorway to number 74 is a four-panel door with a butt and bead design, topped by an open pediment supported by shaped brackets. Number 76 has a 20th-century replacement door. The roof is tiled, with a square chimney stack at the centre. The building forms a group with numbers 56, 60, 64, 70, 74, 78, 83, 93, 99 and 93A on the same street.
