Description
The Temple at Glen Usk is a Grade II listed Ionic temple, constructed with stucco and featuring a slate roof with glazed panels. It has a three-bay portico on the south side, supported by fluted columns and flanked by attached half-columns beside the doorway. The entrance consists of paired panelled doors, with niches on either side in the outer bays. The long elevations are enhanced by similar attached half-columns, and there is a doorway in the center of the east wall.
Remodelled around 1900, the interior presents a striking contrast in Tudor Gothic style, while still retaining the original plaster cornice. The northern bay has been fitted out as a library, featuring wall panelling and a four-centred archway, along with a four-centred arched fireplace.
