Description
The Garden Temple is a structure from the 18th century, erected in 1935. It features a marble plinth, wood and plaster columns, and is constructed from brick and stucco, topped with a slate roof. The temple has an Ionic portico supported by four columns, which holds a frieze adorned with rosettes and a central swag, along with a pediment above. Inside, there is a polygonal room with two niches, and an inner frieze on two pilasters that includes a central carved medallion depicting a mourning female figure and an urn. The portico was originally the south entrance to the mansion house, which was relocated to this site in 1935.
