Description

Stour Bridge is a bridge built in 1842, as indicated by a date plaque on its north face. It is constructed of red brick and features three arches, with the central arch being taller than the others, set on weathered cut waters. The arch surrounds consist of four courses of headers. There is a canted stone string course leading to a canted parapet, which has coping stones raised over the central arch. The bridge has capped piers on both sides that end the parapet walls, with additional splays that culminate in round piers topped with stone ball finials.
