Description
Castle Parade House is a Georgian house featuring a façade of scored roughcast and a slate roof that is set back behind a parapet, with roughcast cross-ridge end stacks. The building has a double pile plan, with the rear unit being lower and slightly narrower, and it includes an attached single-storey rear outshut. The house stands two storeys high with an attic and has a three-window range of 12-pane sashes. The central bay is slightly projecting and is complemented by a cornice, a first-floor sill band, and end pilasters.
The entrance features a central round-arched doorcase with panelled reveals, a recessed part-glazed panelled door, and a fanlight above. Inside, there is a central hall plan with a staircase that rises at the rear, featuring a ramped wreathed handrail and stick balusters. The interior also includes reeded door surrounds with paterae and shutters.
